We headed up north to the county of Northumberland, situated in the North East of England. Our trip lasted 4 days and each day was started with a very early morning hike with the reward of a waterfall at the end of it. I personally think that every day should start like this, alas we, living in the South East of England, don’t really have waterfalls at all.

Our morning at Penmon Point was packed with wild beauty, wonderful sea views, and memories we’ll never forget. Standing on the pebbled beach, Brock squealed with excitement at the sight of a pod of dolphins swimming into the distance. The warmth from the soft sunrise, which was starting to rise above the mountains, hit our faces as we watched them glide through the water. Right at the same time, we met a pair of inquisitive seals by the shoreline with a cormorant following them from above.
The Island of Anglesey is a photographer’s dream. Filled with wonderful wildlife, a scenic coastline, and historical buildings, we can’t stop returning.
What’s more, our favourite things to do on the Island are free, which is always a bonus when it comes to traveling. A forest filled with rare red squirrels, a coastal path hugging the entire island, and surreal multicolored mountains is what’s in store for your next visit.
The Old Man of Storr is a natural phenomenon on the Isle of Skye which can’t be missed.
The “Old Man” is a large pinnacle of rock that stands around 50 metres high and is visible for miles around. One of the most iconic and impressive views not only on the island but the whole of Scotland. Providing magnificent, panoramic views of the surrounding mainland and ancient landslip below.

This cluster of islands are scattered a few miles off the famous Northumberland coastline and are inundated with wildlife. Being the most famous sea bird sanctuary in the British Isles, over 100,000 seabirds make these islands their home each year. These include guillemots, razorbills, and of course, the adorable puffin.
With short days and long nights, a blanket of snow covers the highlands and freezes the lochs making it a winter wonderland experience.
