We headed up north to the county of Northumberland, situated in the North East of England. Our trip lasted 4 days and each day was started with a very early morning hike with the reward of a waterfall at the end of it. I personally think that every day should start like this, alas we, living in the South East of England, don’t really have waterfalls at all.
We love Scotland because you can drive for hours without seeing a single car and never get bored of the scenery. The people are friendly, the whisky is outstanding and the landscapes are stunning. So here are 12 reasons to add Scotland to your bucket list.

Know as the “Land of Lighthouses”, the Brittany coastline has the largest concentration of lighthouses in the world. Immerse yourself in the regional heritage and discover the jewels of Brittany which face the Iroise Sea. Past the rolling hills and the sparkling coast (there’s plenty of it) tick off every photogenic lighthouse you find along the way. Either overlooking white sandy beaches or rocky cliff edges, these scenic lighthouses create the famous Brittany landscape overlooking the sea.
Our morning at Penmon Point was packed with wild beauty, wonderful sea views, and memories we’ll never forget. Standing on the pebbled beach, Brock squealed with excitement at the sight of a pod of dolphins swimming into the distance. The warmth from the soft sunrise, which was starting to rise above the mountains, hit our faces as we watched them glide through the water. Right at the same time, we met a pair of inquisitive seals by the shoreline with a cormorant following them from above.
