We headed up north to the county of Northumberland, situated in the North East of England. Our trip lasted 4 days and each day was started with a very early morning hike with the reward of a waterfall at the end of it. I personally think that every day should start like this, alas we, living in the South East of England, don’t really have waterfalls at all.
We love Scotland because you can drive for hours without seeing a single car and never get bored of the scenery. The people are friendly, the whisky is outstanding and the landscapes are stunning. So here are 12 reasons to add Scotland to your bucket list.

Lunenburg has been a UNESCO world heritage site since 1995 and after visiting we can see why. Lunenburg is a tiny town with 2,263 residents and just four square km or 48 blocks, with each block being wooden, colourful and quirky!
