We headed up north to the county of Northumberland, situated in the North East of England. Our trip lasted 4 days and each day was started with a very early morning hike with the reward of a waterfall at the end of it. I personally think that every day should start like this, alas we, living in the South East of England, don’t really have waterfalls at all.
We love Scotland because you can drive for hours without seeing a single car and never get bored of the scenery. The people are friendly, the whisky is outstanding and the landscapes are stunning. So here are 12 reasons to add Scotland to your bucket list.

While on our trip to Canada we visited the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. So during our visit we tried to include free activities and more off the beaten track locations as well as the more touristy attractions.

So while on a week long trip around Nova Scotia in Canada we couldn’t resist exploring the trail ourselves!
Lunenburg has been a UNESCO world heritage site since 1995 and after visiting we can see why. Lunenburg is a tiny town with 2,263 residents and just four square km or 48 blocks, with each block being wooden, colourful and quirky! It’s also full of so much history, culture and amazing food so we’ve come up with a list of the top 10 things you can do in Lunenburg!
