We headed up north to the county of Northumberland, situated in the North East of England. Our trip lasted 4 days and each day was started with a very early morning hike with the reward of a waterfall at the end of it. I personally think that every day should start like this, alas we, living in the South East of England, don’t really have waterfalls at all.

This cluster of islands are scattered a few miles off the famous Northumberland coastline and are inundated with wildlife. Being the most famous sea bird sanctuary in the British Isles, over 100,000 seabirds make these islands their home each year. These include guillemots, razorbills, and of course, the adorable puffin.
Whitstable is a quintessentially English town. The coast is lined with multi-coloured beach huts and it may as well be a law that you have to eat fish and chips on the seafront.
